Fort Herkimer Church, also known as the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of German Flatts, is a historic church located in East Herkimer, Herkimer County, New York. It was built in 1767, and expanded in 1812. It is a two-story, rectangular grey limestone building. The gable roof is topped by a frame cupola.: 3 
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

  • Wish we could have toured the inside. The fencing has open areas so the grounds are available to walk around.  more »

  • I love anything that can be connected to the birth of this great nation. The Mohawk Valley has so much rich history you're missing out on the connection to American history if you haven't looked into it. Do a little research and you'll see what you can discover. You may even find you're more connected than you thought! It's tied to the Battle of Oriskany near Fort Stanwicks in Rome for example.
  • Beautiful and historic. Erected in 1767, with grave markers from that period on. Fantastic.
