We house one of the largest collections of artifacts relating to Southeast Michigan. Only a small percentage of the total collection can be exhibited at one time; many exhibits are changed each year.

We are a unit of the County of Monroe, Michigan, governed by the County of Monroe, Michigan Board of Commissioners, and generously funded by the citizens of Monroe County.

    Local history of area & people. Exhibits: early Michigan, Custer, Veteran's, Victoriana, First Americans, French Habitants. Free parking, free entry for Michigan residents/$5 non. Worth going!
