Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms is a working farm and seasonal destination where the views of Mt. Shasta are as intoxicating as the fragrance from the purple fields. Roam acres of lavender and cut a basketful to take home, enjoy our quality products, and sip lavender lemonade as you also refresh your spirit. Before you head to Montague, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Montague online day trip planner, to make sure you see all that Montague has to offer, including Mt Shasta Lavender Farm.
Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms, located twenty minutes north of Mt. Shasta City, California, on a 3500 ft. sunny slope, grows two types of lavender for oil, ornamentation, and culinary use. We now invite visitors seasonally and by appointment to cut lavender and to enjoy the magnificent views.
Our lavender is watered from a deep well of naturally carbonated water with the same pH as rain water. It thrives in well-drained volcanic soil and enjoys a full southwestern exposure. Lavender is an extraordinarily versatile plant, known for its calming effect in aromatherapy. It also has antiseptic properties and is known to discourage insects. Mostly, it is enjoyed for its beauty and long-lasting fragrance. This ancient plant is making a modern-day comeback—perhaps to help calm a jittery and uncertain world.

We had a great trip with beautiful views and the lavender colors were amazing! Well actually we only went on 30 June 2012 but TripAdvisor threw up the option to review it so here I am.

The view is spectacular. The lavender products are well done and reasonably priced. Wonderful staff and the resident corgi is a doll.

There's a small window in the season where you can go out there and pick lavender for a very reasonable price. Believe it's July but you should check.
