The 28.9 km (18 mi) trail, which runs along the former tracks of the Southern Pacific railroad, is shared by bicyclists, rollerbladers, and walkers.   • Took the bus from Lighthouse Avenue to Asilomar State Beach (got off at the Asilomar/Sunset stop) and walked the five miles along the coast back to Cannery Row. Lovely trail! Very breezy on the ocean....  more

  • This trail is an easy walk with magnificent views. The trail is wonderful for scenery, animal viewing, and people watching. If back there we will walk it again.
