Rosa Parks Museum, Montgomery

Great little museum packed with history! I loved the reenactment portion most. It was especially appealing to my daughter who didn’t want to read through each sign so it helped her understand what happened easier. The timeline display is so thorough and informative, staff was very friendly and helpful and the facility and bathrooms were very clean.

This was a fabulous museum. The first part is in the children’s wing and is the time travel bus that takes you back to the beginning of racism and segregation. It is so well done and easy for children and adults to enjoy and learn. The second part is the main museum where the events leading up to the bus boycott, Rosa Parks arrest, the boycott, and everything else regarding that time in Montgomery. It was beautifully done and laid out. The museum is a real treat, and the staff are so helpful and friendly.
