The Monticello Welcome Center provides informational materials for the entire Four Corners Area of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico; and most of the state of Utah. Giving visitors and locals the knowledge to visit sites in the four states, go adventuring, and make vacation planning easy. Thereby being the shining example of what a visitors center should and could be. Merchandise sold include maps, magnets, postcards, historical books, children's toys and books, and crafts from local artisans.

The Frontier Museum is housed in a century old barn once used as storage for the L. H. Redd Mercantile. The barn was moved from its original site and renovated to house the museum by the Monticello Foundation. The original post and beam construction is visible inside. Frontier life as it was lived on the edge of the Great Sage Plain over 100 years ago is on display. A visit to the museum is a passage through time via the day-to-day items used by our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Exhibits include vintage clothing and household items. Early telephones, relics from ancient native people, and remains from the Home of Truth are on display. Cowboys, Indians, outlaws, farmers, and shopkeepers are represented

  • Truckdrivers, if you need sleep, or suffer PTSD, don't stay overnight in this town. Fireworks all night! ...or they were celebrating The Purge. Finally all died off around 02:00.
  • Breakable items at a museum? What were they thinking lol. Great little museum. Worth checking out. If you have small children and they dont behave take them to the playground instead.
