VCFA is the first college in the country devoted entirely to a low-residency delivery model, allowing students to pursue graduate fine arts studies while maintaining their personal and professional lives.

The study and practice of art-making at VCFA is an immersive, constantly evolving process. Aspiring, emerging or established, our filmmakers, writers, composers, teachers, and visual artists grow individually through intensive engagement with their craft and lively, often profound exchanges of ideas and work.

We offer Master of Fine Arts degrees in the following areas of study: Writing, Writing & Publishing, Writing for Children & Young Adults, Music Composition, Visual Art, Graphic Design, and Film. We also offer a Masters of Art in Teaching Art and Design Education and a Masters of Art in Art and Design Education. To inquire about any of these programs, visit http://vcfa.edu/admissions for more information. See yourself here!

  • Great graduate fine arts college. Faculty are very helpful. It's a small school but you truly benefit from the relationships you make. The campus is absolutely gorgeous. If just being on the campus doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will!
  • Low residency MFA programs. 360 degree views of Exhibition Galleries in College Hall.
