Uvas Canyon County Park is a 1,147acre natural park located in upper Uvas Canyon on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, west of Morgan Hill, California. The park has several small waterfalls, some of which flow perennially, that feed into tributaries confluent with Uvas Creek. The park is part of the Santa Clara County Parks System, and facilitates picnics, hiking and overnight camping. It is one of the few parks in the area that allows dogs in the campgrounds.
Access to Uvas Canyon County Park is via Croy Road, a two-lane paved secondary road off Uvas Road with no outlet that narrows to a single lane within the small private community of Sveadal, just before the park entrance.
In 2017, heavy rains damaged parts of Croy Road as well as much of the park's trail system. The park is currently closed for repairs.

  • WE went recently on a weekday and it was uncrowded. The paths were dry but the streams were running fast and all the waterfalls were roaring. There were some waterfalls that I believe were only season...  more »

  • Despite the yellow jackets and bugs, the camp site is decent and well shaded. One thing I have to say is they have the BEST CLEAN & PRACTICAL bathrooms ever especially for mothers. Baby changing table as well as a baby safety seat? Spacious shower stalls. NO QUARTERS. Everything is automatically timed both water and light.
  • Super clean bathrooms! Come early to get a parking. We got there about 845am. It is July so the earlier the better. Most trails are well shaded. 6 dollar parking-easier to have exact change. Grab a map or ask for one or save it to your phone ahead of visiting. For July I didn't need to pay for parking in advance and reserve my visit but you should call to be sure. Amazing views! Be aware of the rain season...because we had good rainfall there was plenty of water for most waterfalls to flow in July yet no too much water that trails were blocked!
