  • This is a wonderful museum. It has a little bit of every type of art: virtual, mechanical, painting, sculpture, and even environmental. Each special exhibit, as well as the permanent collection, was a joy to walk through. The setting of the museum in a historical mansion was lovely. Nice grounds also, with picnic tables. Great place to take kids. Ours enjoyed it very much. There are hands-on activities and interaction with the exhibits that held their interest. They especially liked the model trains and the dinosaur exhibits. For an extra fee there is a STEM room for kids - we will do that during our next visit when we have more time. The kids in that area looked like they were having lots of fun. We only had a couple of hours to spend at the museum but it was a very worthwhile visit. They have a nice gift shop with a wide variety of reasonably-priced items. There is no restaurant but the gift shop sells some snacks and drinks. The local area has great restaurants so keep that in mind if you are looking to spend the day.
  • Fun if eclectic museum. They had an awesome exhibit on music boxes. In the age of music streaming, its cool to see how creative we were to have music in our homes.
