A very nice lil zoo to spend an early afternoon. Good variety of animals and pretty good upkeep. There was an exceptional large variety of monkeys and most were active and fun to watch. And I love...

Love coming here. It’s a small/medium size zoo that can be seen in 3-4 hours easily. Fantastic for smaller kids. Very family friendly. The staff is always attentive and helpful. The cafe food is, well, theme park style and nothing to write home about, but well priced. I have the season passes which are well worth it, especially if you get the unlimited rides (my son loves the safari train). Well worth making a trip to!

My 18-year old daughter and I absolutely love the Metro Richmond Zoo! They have a large variety of animals that always appear healthy and well-fed. There are often upgrades and new features being added, like the amazing new otter habitat. The zoo itself is clean, including the bathrooms. We have eaten several times, and the food is actually quite good and reasonably priced. Be sure to check out the train ride and the budgie pen, as well! Our season passes have been totally worth the money, and we have been able to bring guests for a reduced rate for admission, rides, and the gift shop. Don't forget to buy cups of food and budgie sticks to feed the animals!
