Ariel-Foundation Park is a spectacular 250-acre public green space in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The park is built on the site of the former Pittsburgh Plate Glass manufacturing plant. Located within walking distance of Mount Vernon’s historic downtown, Ariel-Foundation Park is one of the most unique public parks in Ohio. Visitors are be able to enjoy lakes, woods, walking trails, picnic areas, a bike path, an events center, a restored railroad depot, historic ruins, terraced landscaping and more.   • Spent July 4 here attending a free concert and then fireworks. The grounds are beautiful, spacious and have remnants of the factory scattered. They had food trucks for the 4th. Large lake where...  more »
  • Great place to take a walk! I love the structures and buildings that were left from the glass factory! The designer did an awesome job capturing the remains. The lake and bridges are pretty awesome too!
  • This is a beautiful Park! I've lived in the area for 6 years and this was the first day I went. I will definitely go again there's so much to see and do. A big shout-out to Ariel Corporation for funding such a beautiful space!!!
