Create an itinerary including Little Mountain Park
Improvements and expansion of Little Mountain Park are provided by a public-private partnership between the Mount Vernon Parks Foundation and the City of Mount Vernon. All of the work is coordinated by a small group of individuals who are extremely passionate about the quality and accessibility of local parks and trails. Individuals and community organizations are invited to volunteer with trail construction and maintenance. As a result of thousands of hours of hard work and planning, the trail system at Little Mountain Park has tripled since 2009.

  • So many gorgeous hikes are available at this park! There is a new bike skills park too. Thanks to the Mt. Vernon Parks Foundation there is a brand new parking lot with restrooms. No more parking along the side of the road! We spied a salamander of some sort on our last visit!
  • What a beautiful place! Well groomed trails, a small parking lot (maybe 5 cars fit) but there is also more parking if you go up Little Mountain Park road before you reach the secondary parking lot closer to sea level. The trails were well marked, there were benches and little informational signs throughout, we will definitely be returning! Would not be ideal for strollers or wheelchairs.
