  What a beauty and saving grace! The Superior coast can be a bit overcrowded in August so head inland a bit and find a small rustic campground in Hiawatha. There's no shortage of beautiful lakes to.....  more »

  Dense pine forest with well-marked trails, a great place to seek quiet and nature. The forest is expansive and provides lots of opportunities to explore.  more »

  I've been fortunate enough to travel a lot in my lifetime. The vast amount of untouched land in the Hiawatha National Forest is some of the most beautiful. The US Forest service does an incredible job of keeping parks and trails clean while offering a true rustic camping and hiking experience. It's hands down my favorite place to get away from everything.
