  • I finally got to see this fall after missing it a few years ago, there is no place to park next to the stairs and one must park a distance and hoof it in,, I was THE ONLY person back there and the hike is precarious, bring hiking sticks and wear hike shoes or boots, very scary in spots where the trail gave away but once u get back there,,its "wow worthy" I spent some time going down and around the falls and taking photos,,, stupendous and very happy I finally got to see this!!
  • Absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite waterfalls in the UP. It's not large, but so picturesque. We went the end of July after a decent period of rain and it was flowing wonderfully. Park on Washington Street next to a small brick building and then cross the street over a guard rail and you will see a small opening in the trees on the far side that has signage and some wood boardwalks. Upon entering the forest you are met with two signs, M falls and O falls. The O falls to the right will take you to Tannery Falls. A short but slightly challenging hike is all it takes. There is some roots and rocks as well as some rather steep hills to climb. You will pass by a large and stunning rock wall. Those who have trouble walking may find it difficult or impossible to reach.
