The Five Civilized Tribes Museum is a museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma that houses the art, history and culture of the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), and Seminole tribes. Housed in the historic Union Indian Agency building, the museum was opened in 1966.
The museum holds an extensive collection of traditional art by artists of the Five Civilized Tribes and has the world’s largest collection of Jerome Tiger originals.

The warm welcome by the staff made this visit very homely. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience especially viewing the art work upstairs.

While the price was nice and cheap, it was lacking any real wow factor. The staff seemed stand-off-ish and robotic. The place was lacking in any real amount of artifacts and had nothing to pull interest out of our children. It’s a shame, the house it’s taking place in is beautiful and isn’t being used to it’s full potential. Would look else where to go next time.
