Fly high above the Atlantic Ocean with a ride on Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, a 57 m (187 ft) Ferris wheel opened in 2011. The wheel features 42 glass-enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas, each with bucket seating for six and UV protective windows designed for optimal viewing. The highlight of the wheel is a cutting-edge lighting system with more than one million LEDs, capable of creating a range of light effects best appreciated after sunset. Remember that vistas of the Myrtle Beach shoreline change at different times of day, providing you with a new perspective each time you ride the wheel. Avoid standing in long lines by booking your tickets online or by phone. • Loved being able to see everywhere. The air conditioned cars are fabulous. Kept very clean and clear glass to see through.

  • We had been on the SkyWheel a few years ago but this time we were able to take out youngest Granddaughter, Mackenzie. The views are awesome and she really loved the ride.

  • This ride takes around 12 minutes as the wheel goes around 3 to 4 times. The staff was very friendly and the ride cabin is air conditioned. This is a very low thrill ride, you're paying more the great view. I'd recommend trying this at least once. It is one of the more affordable attractions along the beach.
  • Great for the whole family. A bit pricey, but well worth it for the amazing view of the beach and sea. We were pleasantly surprised by how many rotations we got to enjoy, figuring that they'd cycle around two maybe three times. We did not like that they wanted to take our photo (we declined, we do not want to be used in promotional materials), nor did we like that much of the "hold up" with the line was because of the photo thing at the end of the line before boarding.
