It is a historic and educational exploration of nature for all ages.

Waccamaw River Tours is the brain child of Capt. Rick and Kim. Their adventurous spirits, love of the water (sailing, kayaking, and snorkeling) and nature (hiking) melted together in the creation of these river tours. The beauty of this river is a medicine that soothes the heart and heals the soul. We hope you‘ll join us for a River Adventure of Nature!

  • The boat ride was relaxing. It was chilly since we went in March but there were a few fleece blankets available if you need it. I would advise to dress appropriately depending on the temperature. The seats were fairly comfortable and spacious. The tour guide was informative with a sense of humor and he had a dog on board named "river dog." It was a nice ride. 5 stars for sure.
  • This tour was a great way to spend a coupe of hours. Betty and Rick were so down to earth and friendly. Rick has so much information about the river and the wildlife and plants. We learned a great deal that we did not know before.Ii loved the fact that he clearly spends a good deal of time watching the wildlife, especially the osprey so that he could tell us what pairs were back, where their nests were and about their offspring. His sense of humor was the best part of the tour. The man who drove the boat was also really knowledgeable and personable. What a great team. I hope River gets his doggy for soon!
