Phone: 707-252-9065 or 800-654-WINE. Bouchaine makes exemplary and captivating Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the Carneros (on the Napa Valley side), a region where the climate is perfectly suited for these two grape varieties. Bouchaine's winemaking history goes back to the Garetto Winery that was built here by an Italian immigrant, and, it is surmised, operated quietly in the 1920's and 1930's in spite of Prohibition and the ban on alcohol sales. In 1980, current proprietors Gerret and Tatiana Copeland visited Napa Valley and fell in love with the location, its history and its potential. They created one of the first boutique wineries in wine country and began making Pinots and Chardonnays-wines they themselves loved and cherished-long before Sideways hit the big screen! Michael Richmond (co-founder of Acacia in the early and pivotal days of Pinot Noir winemaking/discovery in the 1970's) joined Bouchaine in 2002 as Winemaker and GM.

We are a sustainable winery and certified green by the Napa Green Farm "Fish Friendly Farming" Program.

  • Set at a point in the Napa Valley looking straight down to the San Pablo Bay, Bouchaine cellars is one of the larger, yet no less "boutique" vineyards. Our tour group was ushered out into the garden.....  more »

  • We had a family reunion and did a wine tasting tour. Out of all of the places we went to, Bouchaine Vineyards was our favorite. The staff was super helpful explaining the different tastings and taking care of my family members. Also, since some of them spoke Spanish, they accommodated us and translated so all could have the best experience. We will definitely go back and bring more friends and family members.
  • This was a wonderful experience! Initially we were under the impression that we wouldn't be able to be accommodated due to the influx of people that had come in off of a bus. We were under the impression that we did not have to make reservations for a party of four. However there was a very nice gentleman by the name of Eric who did his best to have us seated at the nearest available chairs. Then helped us to be relocated to better seating. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and also friendly. He took us to have a better View of the adjoining Vineyards. Such a beautiful outdoor space that is not overcrowded.
