  • It's not Mount Vernon, but you get a good sense of the man and his self-made nature. Not a whole lot on the slaves, but they are trying hard with the archeology onsite.  more »
  • This was a very neat tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable! My only regret is that I didn’t figure enough time to spend here! Well and that it was pretty hot and humid out today. We spent about....  more »

  • The duel performer was 5 stars!!!!! He was informative, fun and captivating. We had a great time listening to him and learning about the real life duel. He was super funny and a great improvisor. The audio trail was wonderful as well and very well done. The mansion and the tour guides were really cool. The only part I felt was left out and I wanted to learn more about was Andrew Jackson’s involvement in the Native American exile. Haunting and amazing they gave history, importance and weight to the hard working and incredible slaves. Overall a great and informative trip.
  • Nice guided tour of the house. The hosts/hostesses were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. You can walk the grounds at your own pace. There's a free map available providing details and overviews of the property. Good tour and lots to see. Cafe was insanely expensive.
