  • Lovely experience! Everyone should attend their open house if possible. The view from their powerful telescopes is magnificent. Tickets are very inexpensive, just be sure to reserve early. One of Nashville’s best kept secrets.
  • A gem of a place. The open house days are a great to opportunity to explore the observatory building and it's various astronomy and physics related collections in a great observatory building which houses a telescope. There is a tour with friendly well informed eager to share their knowledge astronomers. If that isn't enough there is also an area a short walk through a wooded bluff to the star chamber a unique camera obscura. This is by reservation only so note that it is popular which means advance planning.
