The main park road is still closed. However, the park ranger called and gave detailed directions prior to our stay. Part of the detour road is rough. Peaceful place to camp. Very quiet...

Pretty park with a lake. The playground is for small children. There is a very nice pavilion with a fire pit and picnic tables. The dock is broken and you can't go out on it. The bathrooms are clean. There are campgrounds here. You can fish and boat here as well. The roads you take to get to the park are horrible. They're torn up with tons of potholes so be cautious while driving to get here.

We stayed in the cabins. They could definitely use an upgrade but it was clean, a great price & we aren’t picky. This is a good place for fishing & hunting. Not the best spot with kids but it is a state park so of course not a lot of amenities. It served our needs well. We stayed 3 nights & explored Natchez & the trace way. The kids did enjoy fishing and riding their bikes. I believe the park may still be recovering from the hurricane.
