  • This was John Glenn's boyhood home. John and Annie Glenn did not live here, although the museum has a nice tribute to Annie Glenn. This home is run by some very energetic and enthusiastic docents...

  • I was driving along National Road, which is today U. S. Highway 40. One of the towns that I was lucky enough to visit was New Concord, Ohio. As I was driving through town, I saw a sign for the John & Annie Glenn Historical Site. Not being in any hurry, I decided to stop and visit. This is the home where Astronaut and Senator John Glenn grew up. Parking down a side street behind the home. I entered on the lower level of the home and was greeted by a very nice lady who welcomed me and explained how the tour worked. I paid my $6.00 senior admission and began my tour by watching a short film which was interesting and informative. After the video I made my way upstairs where the home has been returned to it’s 1962 appearance. The house features period furnishings and several artifacts that belonged the Glenn’s. This was a wonderful tour and I ended up spending a little over an hour on site. Everyone associated with this site immerses themselves in telling the fascinating story of Senator and Mrs. Glenn. It was a wonderful story, and I would encourage anyone who is in the area to stop and visit the John and Annie Glenn Historical Site.
  • Excellent location to stop and spend the afternoon. We visited this location twice so far and plan to go back again in a couple of years when they change out the first floor to reflect another time period. STAFF WAS EXCELLENT! Thank you. Full review and video on our blog site.
