The most majestic range in the appalachians. You can pass so many different climate zones in such a short distance as you go up in elevation. The most unique and striking feature is the wind swept summits. I have encountered the strongest winds of my life in winter. In summer things settle down. Fall is pretty but often foggy and wet. Franconia notch is my favorite portion
