Camping was full, but the host let us stay the night in the Day Use slot in our tent. This is a beautiful state park. We had a great time hiking the trails and looking for all sorts of rocks, even tho... more »
This is the best maintained State Park we have visited so far. Our site was raked and clean when we arrived. The bathrooms were clean, with toilet paper and soap. The shower stalls were a good size and the water warm. The trails in the park were well maintained. So many birds! The whole park was so quiet. The dump station was easy to access. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We even had cell service most of the time (except when the winds were high). I expect with more funding from the state, there would more ability to do projects like signage on the Spring Canyon loop trail and replacing interpretive signs on the Botanical Trail.
Nice, quiet and remote campground. Great restrooms/showers. Camp Hosts we're very nice and informative about the area. We were not able to get a site in the campground, but they let you park along the roadside until a spot opens up or 14 days.
