The Flambeaux (pronounced: "flam-bow") are torches used during Mardi Gras parades. Throughout the history of our carnival tradition, the flambeaux carriers have lit up the night before floats so that revelers could see the parades. They also served as guides that led the parade on its route.Plan to see Flambeaux Bicycle Tours and other attractions that appeal to you using our New Orleans road trip planner.

We took a Saturday morning bike tour with Jonathan, and it ended up being the highlight of our trip! Biking through the city was such a great way to see parts of New Orleans that we wouldn't have otherwise known to visit. The bike ride itself was leisurely, and Jonathan was fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and just a really great guy. This is a unique way to see and learn more about the city, and I can't recommend Flambeaux Bicycle Tours enough. Will definitely sign up for another tour the next time I'm in the city!
Our bike tour with Jonathon was thoroughly enjoyable, def a trip highlight! We saw sights we wouldn't have otherwise known to seek out, with insights that we wouldn't have gained from a guidebook. Charismatic and knowledgeable, his passion for the city and it's unique culture and history is both obvious and infectious! He was also completely on point when it came to looking out for our safety, watching for car doors opening, signaling to traffic, etc.
