Ghost City Tours of New Orleans Reviews
We took the tour that apparently this site won't allow us to name because one of the words of the tour is considered profane. Regardless, Rhen was our tour guide. She was awesome and did a great job.... more »
Booking a tour was very easy via their online chat. Our tour started on time. We are not sure, but we think our tour guide was Fred (the 11 am tour of St. Louis Cemetery 1 on April 8). There were several other tour groups at the cemetery that day, which was expected. However, Fred was able to time when we visited the points of interest inside the cemetery so that we can avoid the big groups. He provided us with lots of information and was able to answer our questions. If you do visit, keep in mind that videos are not allowed. Fred kept reminding us that videos are not allowed, but someone from another group got called out by the staff at the gate. We hope that there will be a night time tour of the cemetery!
If I were directly reviewing the tour guide for the Killers and Thrillers tour, this would be a five star review! Emily was AMAZING - very knowledgable, and I really liked her style of leading the group, ensuring we were still respectful to other visitors/residents of the area, and presenting history in an easy to follow way. My only complaint is that the directions told us to meet at Pirate Alley, and I made the assumption they meant Pirate Alley Cafe rather than the entrance to actual Pirate Alley. I feel like this is an easy mistake for a lot of people not familiar with area, and probably the root cause of negative reviews saying they were unable to find the tour. For me, it was definitely a moment of confusion and frustration.
