Founded in 1853 and spanning 526 hectares (1,300 acres) New Orleans City Park is one of the largest and oldest urban parks in America. Stroll through this green space to discover the botanical garden, sculpture garden, and golf courses. Check out the antique wooden carousel in the park's amusement area, which is more than 100 years old and one of the few of its kind left in the country. The park also is home to the city's soccer stadium and the New Orleans Museum of Art, considered one of the finest art museums in the South. Rent a boat to explore the park's 18 km (11 mi) of lagoons, lakes, and bayous. Bikes are also available for rent. Worth visiting if you are around the city park area. There is no entrance fees. It is part of the art museum but that part requires a entrance fee. The park is it with lots of landscape of lakes...

City Park is huge and well kept. There are bridges that make for a terrific photo backdrop. Also the large oak trees are great for photos. There are playgrounds, a train and a Cafe Du Mond!

City Park has it all. Most beautiful landscape, with walking and biking trails. Boat and bike rentals. Amusement park, putt putt golf, so many great activities. Take a stroll through the botanical and sculpture garden or visit our wonderful museum. City Park is my hang out spot, i love it!
This park has a great sculpture garden. Great walking path in the sculpture garden. You can get yourself lost in the garden. There are now two sides of the garden. A great lagoon. Now I think the lagoon needs to be cleaned and a little clear. They could use more variety and diversity in their staff. It's amazing a 60% black city still manages to have spaces with no Black employees or managers etc etc
