Lake Waramaug State Park is a 95-acre (38 ha) public recreation area located on the northwest shore of Lake Waramaug in the town of Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut. The state park's first 75 acres (30 ha) were purchased by the state in 1920. The park offers swimming, fishing, picnicking, camping, and a launch for car-top boating and canoeing.

    The sites are big, but are right next to each other. Just be aware of that. Lake is great for kayaks and canoes. Friendly staff.

    Nice beach area with plentiful parking. We had an inflatable boat that we used for the day so we weren't restricted to a small swimming area. Was very disturbed a few days later it was closed due to high bacteria level. Check Connecticut state park website before going.

    Such a beautiful place to visit. Perfect for a picnic in the summer, and you may catch a bald eagle.
