  • Wonderful experience canoeing to cypress springs and down holmes creek with my mom. Perfect trip for beginners. The spring is incredibly beautiful. We went on a weekday in late summer and practically had the place to ourselves. The owners and employees are very sweet and accommodating. Equipment was in great shape. We will be back!
  • Amazing time. We took our three little ones canoeing for their first time. My sister and myself are pretty experienced canoeing and were impressed with the people who run this location. The little water park at the end was great for the kids when we were finished. Hint..get their early if you want to avoid the crowds. The spring gets very busy! We went at 8 a.m. on a Thursday and had the spring to ourself for about an hour before the "beer crowd" started rolling in. It has been about 18years since we had been down Holmes Creek and was as awesome as I remembered it. It's a perfect way for a family to spend a day or half day. There are several places to stop along the creek as well that have sandy banks and clear water for the kiddos to stretch their legs in addition to the spring. There are quite a few obstacles to navigate in the creek especially after the hurricane. For us it made it fun and we didn't flip our canoe even once but for some people who aren't experienced they might struggle to navigate the downed trees.
