It is a sad world we live in, when we have memorials and museums to visit that are of tragedy. Yet, we must remember and never forget... Ryan is a true gentleman. His translation of that day as the.... more »
WE LOVE HAL!! He gave such a knowledgeable, informative, and emotional tour of the 9/11 grounds and lower Manhattan. He was personable, funny, and his love for New York was truly on display. I absolutely recommend doing a tour of the 9/11 grounds, museum, Oculus, and the observation deck. It was so impactful. If you have the opportunity to tour with Hal, you will absolutely be in good hands.
Our whole group talked throughout the weekend about how great Jon White (our guide) was in providing first hand experiences and powerful storytelling of how things unfolded on 9/11, the devastation, the loss, the recovery and the very insightful knowledge of the thinking behind the whole redevelopment of the site…this was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC and it was fantastic to see how NYC has bounced back, respectfully, stronger and celebrating life! Jon did an amazing job and we were all delighted that he was our guide, what a genuinely great guy and superb ambassador for New York The museum far exceeded expectations, so respectfully and thoughtfully done, so many powerful images and to track the minute-by-minute timeline made the whole thing even more real. You should allow plenty of time in the museum as the hours fly by...we spent about 4 1/2 hours (tour and museum) in total and could have taken longer...but very well worth it. Thanks Jon and NYC!
