Brooklyn Bridge, New York City

4.7
Walk across one of New York’s most iconic landmarks, Brooklyn Bridge, while admiring breathtaking views of the city skyline. One of the oldest suspension bridges in the country, it spans almost 486 m (1,600 ft) across the East River, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Take the subway to Brooklyn and walk back along the bridge toward Manhattan for the best views of the city, but not before wandering through the Brooklyn Bridge Park. If you’re hungry, stop for a famous slice of Brooklyn pizza before heading back over the bridge. • On a warm day, grab a cold beverage and start your walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn. There were a lot of great photo opportunities and beautiful views of the city. Finish in Brooklyn with a scoop of ic...  more »
  • Beautiful day to start quite early the crossed the Brooklyn Bridge with the Sun in the back. We take the subway to Brooklyn in order to make the crossing walking to Manhattan. This is important, otherwise you will return you permanently to have great views. It's really a tour not to be missed. For us, the best.

  • We went to subwaylla Heightsille of Brooklyn, we took great pictures, accept donations and we walked the Brooklyn Bridge along the back to Manhattan. Absolutely gorgeous "terrace". You should go on working days-ap, not so great on the bridge.

  • So glad a friend recommended that we walk the bridge. I have been to New York so many times, but haven't done this part until now. And it was worth it. We did not do a guide or anything, just walked it at our own pace, and took in the beautiful view. Go on a nice day, like we did, and you'll see way passed the Statue of Liberty and the beautiful skyline on both sides of the bridge. Worth it!
  • After a fabulous dinner at Juliana's we walked back to Manhattan across Brooklyn Bridge. We were walking at dusk and it was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend anyonw going to NYC to ensure they do this at night. They views are spectacular. It is a bit narrow in places as the walking path is shared with a cycle path. The cyclists take no prisoners, and zoom across the bridge, so need to keep your eyes open. It is such a memorable experience.
  • My time was excellent there! Imagine, walking from Brooklyn NY to Manhattan - across the bridge that connects to the two! It was awesome!! I'm impressed with the fact that I was able to see security personnel on the bridge keeping an eye on things. It's really a good tourist attraction. I got to read the various plaques to learn more about the bridge itself and some key figures from the past. A big thumbs up for the planners.
  • It is a masterpiece and superb art of New York City. It swings between Brooklyn to Manhattan. It has nice trail for walking and cycling on top of the Bridge. There are lots of cyclists passing by every minutes so be careful to walk around the bridge. You can able to see spectacular views of New York and its surrounding from the bridge. I think walking on bridge is a must to do thing in New York. In summer, the cool breeeze from river add refreshment and makes it hard to leave from here. This is a best place to have some snaps so take your camera along with you. I will love to go to Brooklyn bridge again.
  • Another brilliant free thing to do in NYC. A great idea is to make your way to Dumbo first, pop down to Washington street which is an iconic street seen in all kinds of movies, tv shows and pop culture. Have your picture taken with the Manhattan Bridge behind you. If you capture the angle right the Empire State Building will be framed perfectly between its main supports. Then head up and walk along the Brooklyn bridge into Manhattan, where you can capture more great shots. Remember, pictures are just frozen memories! Happy snapping!
