Enjoy almost 4 hectares (10 acres) of greenspace nestled in the heart of Manhattan at Bryant Park. Adjacent to the New York City Public Library, the park's expansive lawn, decorated with monumental sculptures and stately fountains, provides a place to sit and escape the bustling city. Feel like a kid again with a ride on the Heritage Carousel, or test your luck with a game of chess against a local. Stop by the Reading Room, the park's open-air library, to browse through a book or a copy of the local newspaper. I've been here several times when there were events and when there weren't. I liked that there is space in the middle of the city (being one of the many parks) for people to catch their breaths...

The holiday shops were nice to visit. Great places to pick up gifts for family and friends or a little something for yourself. They've got clothing, candles, holiday decor, fragrances, jewelry, pet themed socks, and a host of other items. There are several places to grab a bite to eat. We tried the menu from the Chinese, Indian, and Mexican restaurants and everything was delicious. You can get a small bite from each restaurant if you want to give them all a try or you can get full meals, whatever your preference. There are enough options for everyone to get what they want and places where you can all sit together and chat. The holiday bar was also nice and located next to the skate rink. Plenty of places to sit with friends. It rained when we went and because the shops are inside most were open when we got there in the evening. So this place is a good market to visit rain or shine. The park is about a 5 minute walk from Grand Central Station and is convenient to get to.

This is a great park with a lot to offer. It's not huge but provides a nice outdoor space in the middle of the city. The views of the surrounding buildings are beautiful. The seating areas are abundant. There are fountains, gardens, statues, and lots of green space. A great spot to get some fresh air!
