Holographic Studios, located in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, is the world's oldest gallery of holography. It was founded in 1979 by Jason Sapan, one of the pioneers of holography. The storefront level gallery features the world's largest collection of motion image integral holograms. On display in the gallery are a variety of different types of holographic images, including a collection of celebrity hologram portraits. There are also cylindrical 360° floating images, multiple image holograms that change as you walk by, and computer generated holograms as well as a selection of novelty hologram items and stickers. Directly below the gallery is the laser laboratory where holograms are created. Holographic Studios creates custom holograms, holographic portraits, offers classes, and operates tours.Plan to visit Holographic Studios during your New York City vacation using our convenient New York City trip planner.

I encourage you to take a class from Dr. Laser--you'll love it! I took a wonderful class here, made my first hologram, learned a ton about holography, and had a lot of fun. Dr. Laser is a great teacher--he helps you dive into hands-on learning very quickly and explains the science and methodology of holography clearly and compellingly--and he is a talented and unique artist. In fact, I betcha the good doctor is the ONLY artist to have created holograms of Andy Warhol, Ed Koch, and Isaac Asimov. Add in the bonus of Dr. Laser's great storytelling abilities and sense of humor, and you have an unforgettable experience. Book a class now! :-)
Truly a little jewel of a place. Check out or buy amazing holograms or get a tour of the studio. Dr. Laser is awesome and will answer all your questions and show you tons of fun stuff. He takes commissions too!
