  • It was the last great Museum we wanted to see after Paris, St-Petersburg, Madrid, and London. The collection is huge and amount of masterpieces will be in front of you during this visit. It's not the prettiest of museums. As say a lot of opinions, the Museum is very large and we spent 4 hours pacing the halls, because we know that we will not. The collections are very varied between furniture, the Egyptian to painting and his fabulous plays period. You can imagine the number of excessively known paintings that will be in front of your eyes. Not to be missed during your visit to NY

  • Amazing museum that you can spend the whole day in and still not see everything. There is plenty of staff located through out the museum to answer any questions. The ancient Greek and Roman art; Fresco's, statues, jewelry, and tombs were great to see. The Egyptian displays were also really great, there is several tombs you can walk through. The American Wing Cafe is okay, place to grab a quick bite and look at the map. The Heavenly Body exhibit was displayed in the main corridor of the Medical art wing.
  • Full price worthy. Beautiful collection of history and art work. Make sure you go almost on the opening time to enjoy watching every part which is almost impossible if you take too long to look at one thing. It is advisable to take audio tour which was i guess $7, you can also hire a tour guide which i guess was fun because while wandering i heard them cracking jokes(i too had a laugh listening to them, i didn't take any tour guide or audio tour to save time and money so free laughs are always welcomed 😛) and also giving proper knowledge to the tourists. The admission fees for residents of New York and neighbourhood state students is $25 or pay as you wish and for Non-New Yorkers $25 has to be paid. Try visiting there on Fridays as it is opened for extra 4 or something hours which will give you more time to explore. From information stalls you can take the map of the MET and try to explore according to the map by planning. Food stalls are too available and also places to sit. Wheelchair assessable place. Beautiful place to be at.
  • Incredible exhibits and art galleries. Many ancient artifacts from countless different cultures and time periods. It is easy to become immersed in the rich history this museum exhibits. The prices for non-native New Yorkers are very reasonable, and the tickets last three days, which is a major plus, given that you will need at least that to fully appreciate all the art and history on display here. Just a suggestion though, if you are a non-native New Yorker, skip the lines at the main desk and head straight for the kiosks. When I was there, I was able to use the kiosk to buy a ticket without standing in line. You do not need to show your student ID if you are a student also. All in all, this is a must see for anyone visiting New York. One of the greatest museums I have ever visited. Highly recommended!
  • The Met must be among the finest museums in the United States. In addition to their impeccable service, organization, and cleanliness, the staff make the entire trip worthwhile, offering unique perspectives on artwork and giving wonderful tours. The collections the Met possesses are nothing less than diverse: from Ottoman carpets to Pollack's paintings, the museum has at least one thing to intrigue the visitor. If you desire to visit a museum that spans the historical timeline of art, look no further! From my time there, I truly enjoyed the Heavenly Bodies exhibit, which the Met did a remarkable job at hosting.
  • This museum is incredible. The architecture alone is outrageous and obviously the history inside of it is well organized and wonderful to experience. I would recommend everyone come here and spend hours looking around. I would recommend getting the device that you can listen two history in your ear as you're walking around. It is so cool to be able to learn things while you're moving around. It's like having a tour guide with you all the time.
