  • If you want to spend a few hours at the puts, check out the Robert Lehman collection and the temporary exhibition dedicated to the masterpieces of Dutch painting of the 17th century the Robert Lehman (name of the last representative of the family collection Lehman has had responsibilities in the Bank), is sheltered in a setting that recreates the former mansion of Robert Lehman in Manhattan demolished in the 1970s. It offers the visitor the opportunity to delve into a condensed version of the history of art in Western Europe from the Renaissance until the middle of the 20 th century premises. The presentation is quality and resting places. In the same wing, puts it brought together in a rotunda, its collection of masterpieces of Dutch painting of the 17th century he possesses. We find Rembrandt, Vermeer, Franz Hals, J.Stenn and others. The works are sorted by themes, all representative of the time following the birth of the "United Provinces"; The exhibition lasts until October 2020. • On my most recent trip to NYC, our party spent several hours at the Met. The facility is fantastic. We purchased Citypass tickets and this was the first attraction we visited. You definitely need to g...  more »

  • Amazing museum that you can spend the whole day in and still not see everything. There is plenty of staff located through out the museum to answer any questions. The ancient Greek and Roman art; Fresco's, statues, jewelry, and tombs were great to see. The Egyptian displays were also really great, there is several tombs you can walk through. The American Wing Cafe is okay, place to grab a quick bite and look at the map. The Heavenly Body exhibit was displayed in the main corridor of the Medical art wing.
  • Full price worthy. Beautiful collection of history and art work. Make sure you go almost on the opening time to enjoy watching every part which is almost impossible if you take too long to look at one thing. It is advisable to take audio tour which was i guess $7, you can also hire a tour guide which i guess was fun because while wandering i heard them cracking jokes(i too had a laugh listening to them, i didn't take any tour guide or audio tour to save time and money so free laughs are always welcomed 😛) and also giving proper knowledge to the tourists. The admission fees for residents of New York and neighbourhood state students is $25 or pay as you wish and for Non-New Yorkers $25 has to be paid. Try visiting there on Fridays as it is opened for extra 4 or something hours which will give you more time to explore. From information stalls you can take the map of the MET and try to explore according to the map by planning. Food stalls are too available and also places to sit. Wheelchair assessable place. Beautiful place to be at.
