The Press Lounge, New York City

4.0
Refined elegance comes in subtle luxuries; a glass walled interior space, classic cocktails, an extensive wine list, seasonally inspired small plates and informed and welcoming service.

Situated atop of the Ink48 Hotel, the Press Lounge is Adam Block’s sister venue to PRINT. Restaurant. The Press Lounge offers cocktails and light fare complimented by unobstructed views of Manhattan and the Hudson. Opened in 2010, it quickly became recognized as one of Manhattan’s finest rooftop lounges; Frank Bruni, of the New York Times, wrote that the Press Lounge was “without question, one of the city’s most attractive rooftop bars”. In the same year, New York Magazine recognized it as New York’s “Top New Rooftop Bar”, ABC News.com rated it as one of the top 22 rooftops in the world, and Urban Daddy named the Press Lounge as the Perfect ’10 for 2010.

  • Unique atmosphere. New York that we all dreamed about at least once. Breathtaking. The most exciting rooftop in the world.

  • If you love the ambience of a city roof top bar this place is for you. If you like paying 18 dollars for a Jameson with ginger ale this place is also for you. Me, I'm more of a "let's get to know each other without screaming your head off because you can't hear each other from 10mm away" kind of guy. That coupled with being able to buy a whole bottle of jameson for 40 bucks... I'll say, this place is not my style. But definitely a great place if you're looking for ambience.
  • Fantastic views. The service was the only part that was lacking. I waited 30 minutes before getting a drink from the bar directly. Got service after that. Really was 2 or 3 stars because I think service is very important but the view and atmosphere earned it an undeserved star!
