  • The park itself is pretty good. Nice green space and normally full of activities of some sort. The main reason for 5 stars is because this area is one of my favorites. NYU is here and that means affordable and tasty dining, eclectic activities and the area is not focused on tourists but the locals. If you want to see real NYC, then this is a good starting point. The archway and fountains are really nice, and the park is well maintained with lovely greenery. Great place to pass the time and close to lots of coffee shops.
  • Evening on the weekend and an impromptu dance party broke out. Everyone was happily strolling through the park from dinner or wherever they came from and joined a musician for a dance party. A melting pot of diverse groups, backgrounds, ages, affiliations, music tastes, all bonding over music in an open public space. Community in NYC, it was lovely to experience and it was free!
