  • A must see in New York City. The memorial is hard to describe in words but should be experienced first hand. The fountains are beautiful but also very sad, as the names of victims are carved into the marble stone. One piece of advice would be to be respectful of the site; I think it’s fine to take pictures here but there are a lot of tourists there goofing around and taking silly photos and selfies, which in my opinion didn’t feel appropriate. It’s usually very busy there, so expect a crowd of people around the fountains. The new building is massive and impressive, standing tall amongst the skyline. The memorial brings up a lot of emotions for those there, and is worth experiencing.
  • It feels wrong to rate this 5 stars. Despite being slap bang in the middle of New York, this memorial feels so respectful and peaceful and shows how much the world still stands with the families who lost their members on that day. Its utterly heartbreaking and uplifting in equal measure.
