East Meets West Whale Watching, Newport Beach

The experience with captain Nick was incredible. We went on a late morning 2-hour trip (10:30-12:30) in October. Captain Nick had a great positive attitude, was very knowledgeable and made sure to explain everything about each group of mammals we met. We were lucky enough to have seen 2 different huge groups of dolphins jumping all around the boat! Other than the beautiful experience and awesome captain, the boat was very clean and seemed in great condition - so we could even enjoy the first hour of looking for wildlife around. Overall an amazing experience, highly recommended.

We had a fabulous morning with Captain Nick! We were lucky to come across 2 blue whales, which were amazing to see in person. The smaller boat size was advantageous, Captain Nick was quickly able to go between sighting locations. It was definitely a more personalized and higher quality experience than being on a large boat. It was a beautiful day, so we cruised around the water and found 2 massive dolphin pods, and sea lions - very exciting! Captain Nick was knowledgeable and shared a bunch of interesting facts. If you’re looking for a great time on the water, I highly recommend the East Meets West tour!
