Castle Hill Lighthouse, Newport

I’ve been wanting to see this lighthouse for the longest time. Finally got to see it and it was worth the wait! Didn’t think you could walk right up to the lighthouse but you can. I was a bit nervous with the stairs because it was super windy out and I didn’t want to risk falling. I ended up finding a little trail that brought me down to the rocks for a different view of the lighthouse. Totally worth it. Also don’t be afraid of the private property sign. I wasn’t sure that was the entrance but it was.

Cute little lighthouse, very tucked away. The valet at Castle Hill Inn was kind enough to point us to a small parking lot and direct us to a path where we could access the lighthouse. You would never know it's there, as it's marked as a private drive. We had the area to ourselves, and the views of the water, rocky cliffs, etc. are beautiful.
