Screw Auger Falls, Newry

Nice falls to visit for the able bodied. A little more "interesting" for others. We went with a couple older folks based on the handicapped access descriptions. The difficulty came in getting the last few feet to a place that actually sees the falls. I have included those pictures. The erosion barrier creates an obstacle that may block some from getting to the area immediately over the falls. Please look. The park doesn't really have an Overlook / Observation point. Many will make it fine, just please be aware.

Easy parking, short short walk to the falls. Our kids had a blast splashing in the rocks and water. I recommend bringing water shoes. It can be slippery. Spent about an hour exploring and having fun. If you stick to the trail it’s a much shorter activity. Also has picnic tables.
