  • This was a gem of an attraction. I didn't realize Niagara Falls had this newly opened museum until I searched around. The museum illustrates how slaves fled north to cross over into Canada to freedom. The gift shop held some good literature regarding the narratives of slaves; however I did suggest to include more literature regarding slavery as an institution and the long lasting effects that it left behind. I felt the museum too hurriedly moved past the institution of slavery straight onward to Canada. The museum is still in its early stages. I see it growing from here and on ward.
  • This little museum is a gem! They are so intentional about everything from the language they use to describe formerly enslaved people, to the way they relate 19th century freedom-seeking to today. Totally worth the price of admission to learn about NF's role in abolition movement.
