Tioga Downs Casino Resort, Nichols

Just visited Tioga for the first time ever after being hounded by my buddy for years to go. We almost exclusively play poker around PA and NY. I really enjoyed my time there. I was a little surprised how small the poker room was…I don’t think they have more than 6-7 tables if that. Dealers are always a big thing with me and I got to say, all the dealers were EXCELLENT. I found them friendly, personable, genuine and they knew their jobs. I wasn’t familiar with some of the house rules like straddling the button (I know of the rule but never played it in a game) so even as an experienced player I occasionally missed the straddle. The players and the dealers were all understanding and helpful. Same goes for what is considered a bet. They have some unique rules, one of which I broke but nobody gave me a hard time as it didn’t affect the action. Again, people were helpful in explaining the house rules. I’ll def be back and hope to explore the Casino more outside the poker room. I’d also like to see an expansion of the poker room but it is a rural location so I get it.

Absolutely beautiful facility, wonderful staff, and very nice rooms. The accomodations within the facility are everything you would need, and all of the highest quality. Everyone you interact with are friendly and polite. The rooms were clean and well appointed. There is no shortage of food choices, and the bars were well staffed. We had a wonderful experience here, again.
