  • Just had an annual golf trip with 16 guys and we had a great time. We spent Friday at Purgatory and it lived up to what I had read online. The course was in great shape (aside from some of the paths as mentioned in other posts). I believe the area got a lot of rain the week leading up but the course wasn't soggy and drained well. It also appeared a lot of sand was used not just for bunkering but for the course itself which would have helped with the drainage. The clubhouse was incredibly nice and the food was great too. Reasonably priced for a course of this level I thought as well. Would highly recommend. One thing that would be really cool is if the club was able to team up with some other local courses to offer a stay-and-play or was able to buy up some more land to do something on their own. We ended up staying at The Fort, which was also nice.
  • This course has been on my list for some time now. I really enjoyed playing here and if I get another opportunity, I will heed the advice of a couple of others and use more 3 woods and Hybrids off the tees. Just FYI, there could be some better mapping and the cart paths need some attention.
