American Rover Sailing Cruises reviews
Always a great time on the Rover. The crew is friendly, the setting is beautiful. We always take the sunset cruise and have an excellent way to spend a summer evening. If you park on the Portsmouth side of the river you can avoid driving into Norfolk and take the Elizabeth River ferry across to Waterside.
I had a really nice time on my sunset cruise. I wasn't really sure what to expect but the experience was overall really lovely. The water is calm so there wasn't any sea sick feelings. I liked that there were lots of different seating options and that you could walk around to different areas of the ship. The captain was very knowledgeable and friendly and so were the staff. There was a little bar downstairs and 2 bathrooms. The musician Steve Daley was really nice too, and played a few of my song requests. It was a nice evening! I'd recommend this to anyone who just wants to spend a couple hours out on the water to relax and take in the harbor views.
