  • Quiet, peaceful place - beach that dogs are welcomed. Fisherman were fishing off the stones jutting out into ocean. Went during Labor Day and it’s was very nice.

  • Was doing some research, and i was reminded about this "clothing optional" beach. I haven't been back since 1991. Back then, it was a family beach, but everyone is naked. *read some of the other...

  • There was a break in the weather so took the opportunity to take a walk on the beach. We got there in time to watch the ferry depart. Not very busy ( which was a plus!) there was a handful of people taking a stroll with their dogs or just laying out in the sun. I heard it was a good place to find sharks teeth but came up empty. Water looked clean and so was the beach. I'd love to come back in the summer, although I'm sure this place gets packed! There are a couple of parking lots available but beware it is bumpy, drive slow.
  • Dogs are welcome. Bay side. No lifeguards. There are railroad tracks that emerge after a good storm uncovers them through the sand. They don’t stay visible long so get there quick. Start at higbee and walk down toward sunset beach, maybe half way is where I spotted them. They’re closer to the water than to land. If you ever see someone post about them being visible get there quick bc they don’t last long and don’t happen often!
