  • I worked atop Mount Washington in 1963 as a cook in the kitchen. It was an experience I'll never forget. We had 90 mph winds and icing on the Fourth of July!

  • I left a review on the drive up, under the Mt. Washington Auto Road. I’ll just talk about the Observatory/Visitor Center in this review. The Visitor Center has a ranger information station...

  • just being at the summit is a 5 star event . in the late 90's I remember clearly on Aug. 4th it was 38 degrees with a sustained wind of 51 mph on the summit while at the base a sweaty 84 muggy degrees . If one looks several times a week at condition at the observatory it's easy to realize the weather here is off the charts wild .. I see my 5 star rating logged as 4.5 stars .thia summit is 5 stars and then some.............
  • We had an awesome time when we came to visit with my family. The Observatory weather discovery center was clean and orderly. The staff members were helpful and kind. Our daughter really enjoyed all of the displays and had so much fun interacting. This place is great for everyone and easily accessible. Truly something here for everyone!
