Santa Claus House, North Pole

#2 of 85 in Shopping in Alaska
Santa Claus House offers an amazing assortment of Christmas decor and ornaments, apparel, collectibles, made in Alaska items, as well as a selection of unique toys.

Enjoy an espresso from Santa's Coffee Cache while you browse. Many unique photo opportunities are available, including a life-size nativity scene, a 6-foot plush moose and polar bear, and many themed Christmas trees.

Outside, take your picture in Santa's sleigh, which is resting in front of our original 40-foot two dimensional Santa. Marvel at our 42-foot three dimensional fiberglass Santa and meet real members of Santa's reindeer team.

  • Went to Fairbanks, Alaska and of course had to go to North Pole! Read the comments, and yes, it's a big Christmas/souvenir shop...but the Reindeer Academy was really fun! 3 adults, myself, husband and his friend, had more fun than we expected feeding the reindeer! They rolled their eyes when I said I wanted to do it, but we all had fun and got some cute pics! It is off season, late afternoon, and the 3 of us were the only ones in there at 5 pm, which made it even better! The reindeer horns were magnificent and huge! The reindeer were mellow and wonderful, such beautiful animals!
  • I absolutely love what they've done with the place! They have given it a real face lift and modernized it in a great way! I love the way they have implemented the old antique items as decor. While I do miss the Santa throne room with all the toys, I think they did it justice in the remodel. Prices are a little high but that's to be expected in a tourist gift shop! Oh! and they have great coffee and hot chocolate and fudge here as well!
