Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum, Northport

It’s an old lighthouse but well maintained. $5 is the admissions fee and once you step in you can really look around and feel how families lived here. You can also climb up to the top of the lighthouse and can capture outside scenery in your camera. This is a quiet place and if you go behind the lighthouse you can get to the beach walking few steps. You can also sit on the bench and enjoy the serenity of the nature around you.

We visited the Grand Traverse Lighthouse on our last trip up north and thoroughly enjoyed it. For a small fee you can tour the inside of the lighthouse, but there is plenty to do beyond that. We walked some of the trails, visited the gift shop, and had a nice picnic lunch at the park. It was a great afternoon stop.
