See more than 2,000 water creatures and experience a six-story IMAX theater at The Maritime Aquarium. In the 93 tanks you'll find fascinating creatures, such as harbor seals, otters, and sharks. If you'd like a tactile experience, the aquarium features two pools where you can touch rays. Leave time to visit the 14 model ships on display. If you grab a snack at the Cascade Cafe, read the signs about popular idioms related to the sea. If you have enough time, take a seal-watching tour on the aquarium's boat. You'll receive a discount if you purchase your aquarium admission and IMAX ticket together. Our Norwalk trip maker tool makes visiting The Maritime Aquarium and other Norwalk attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Kids had fun, many exhibits but went through the aquarium quickly. Had a group of 6 adult and 2 children. All around had a fun experience.

Love the new exhibits they have! Last year the butterfly exhibit wasn’t around, and many mistake it for being at the zoo, but it isn’t! It’s very much alive and bustling with life this year. The expansion they did looks nice, and I highly recommend a visit if you are or aren’t a local! Not to mention if you show proof of Ct residency your ticket and children are free of charge! Only the parking garage- which I was there for maybe 4-5 hours and cost me 6$- pretty good- cheaper than the tank of gas to get there 🤗

The aquarium is delightful and great for all ages! I read some Google reviews before going and everyone seemed to have wonderful things to say about the place. I now understand why. The place is completely indoors, even the seal feeding! Which made it great for the rainy day today. We enjoyed the butterflies at the flutter zone. There's a few places where the visitors can pet and feel the animals, including stingrays and jellyfish. There is food for the stingrays for purchase. There is an exhibit where the kids can design a virtual sealife animal and have it swim on a screen. There is a toddler's play area with lots of toys and seating for parents. There are nursing rooms and changing rooms if you'll be coming with small babies. We did not have time for the 4D movie, but there is a schedule of the movie showings throughout the day. The 2 options were happy feet or octopus. There was so much to see and do and the hours just passed by while we enjoyed our time. It's a great place for visitors of all ages. I highly recommend this place. It's probably the most well-designed aquarium I've ever been to.
