St. Edmund Parish, Oak Park

I'm not sure my words can do this extrordinary place justice. As soon as I entered, an instant aura of peace came over me and I just knew that I had stumbled upon a holy place. I wish I could pinpoint exactly what it was that gave me such an experience, but I can't. The church is breathtakingly beautiful, the stained glass windows: no words, the people are welcoming, the size? Smallish. Perhaps that or a combination thereof is what gives this place its gravitas. All I know is that it has it in spades. I have went to mass in numerous churches, was a member of Holy Name Cathedral but I cannot stress how deeply at peace and with God I felt while I was within it's walls. Come one, come all and experience it for yourselves.

The service was enjoyable and the music at the mass was easy to follow pretty and the musicians well practiced and prepared. Good show.
